Policies

Schedule: I would like to know your general planned schedule in advance. If you have a change, please let me know two months in advance so I have time to try to fill schedule changes. I appreciate payment for the month of scheduled care on the 1st of the month, but I will accept payment weekly if that suits your needs.  If you need to add a day of care that is not in your original scheduled plan, and I have space available, please pay for that day, on that day so we do not lose track. Note: there are no refunds for cancellations or sick days, understanding that I plan my schedule around your child, potentially turn others away and would not have time to find a replacement in that short notice, thank you for your understanding.  Also punctuality is important to me. It helps me plan my day when I know your child’s arrival time.  Also, my day is long and ends at 6 pm. Please do not be late. After 6pm, I charge $1/minute extra, because it is late!! Mentally, my “carriage turns into a pumpkin” at 6pm.

What to bring: It would be helpful to have some extra clothes and diapers on hand so you would not have to bring them each time. I supply the diaper wipes.

Food Program: I participate in a food reimbursement program, funded by the state, which sends me reimbursement money for the snacks and meals that I provide for the children under my care. The standards are for well balanced snacks and meals, for healthy eating. It is nice, so you do not have to bring food daily, I can afford to provide the meals, and it is also nice to serve all the children the same choices.  Of course, I will need to know about any food restrictions and preferences too. If you decide to bring any food/drink items, for your child, please have the containers well labeled with your child’s name.

Trial Period: We can schedule a trial day to see if it is a good fit. We can also consider the first month as a test month for compatibility, of all involved.  I want to make sure I meet the needs of your child.  My goal is happy, healthy and bright children.

Sick child policy: Please do not knowingly bring sick children (fever, colored mucous, contagious cough etc…) to daycare.  If I notice that the child is ill after he/she has arrived for the day, I will make a call and try to keep him/her separate until a designated adult arrives to pick child up.  Please be sure that all transporting adults have a car safety seat.
